The Galaxy S has been a great success in the global smart phone market, recording global sales of over 5 million units including more than 2 million units in the United States (where Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all offer the smartphone) and more than 1 million units in South Korea.
Samsung continues to expand the reach of the Galaxy S around the world with the Japanese market launch following the recent launch in China, in September.

Samsung Electronics unveiled a new smartphone running under its own mobile operating system bada (Bada OS v1.2), namely the Samsung Wave II S8530.

The Samsung Wave II comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA), measures 124 x 60 x 11.8 mm and weighs good 135 grams.
2GB of internal memory are included in the equation, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. The phone is powered by a 1500mAh battery.
The new Samsung Wave II is expected to arrive on the market in Germany sometime in November, featuring a price tag of 429 euros (around $590).

Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available in the UK on all major networks from 1 November, but prices have still to be announced.

The Galaxy Tab is powered by the Android 2.2 operating system and a 1GHz processor and comes with a seven-inch display. A 1.3-megapixel camera allows for face-to-face video telephony with a 3 megapixel rear facing camera capturing images and videos.
HD video content is supported by multimedia formats including DivX, Xvid ad MPEG4.
