LG isn't the most recognized name in music phones; that honor is typically awarded to Motorola or Sony-Ericsson. This may be about to change with the FCC approval of LG's L600V music phone. As is quickly becoming the standard, the L600V has both a fairly large external screen and accompanying dedicated music controls, which lets you control the music without having to flip the phone open first (though this is less advanced than the upcoming Samsung A720 ). There's a MicroSD slot for storage and Bluetooth for data sync and peripherals. Little else is known, including price and availability, but public FCC approval typically signifies that a launch is due soon. Here is a middle class clamshell for 3G networks. There is a 1.3 MP camera, MP3/AAC-player with control buttons placed on the top cover and a microSD connector.

Like the phone. It's pretty. It forces you to keep it clean all the time. I don't like that battery when fewer than 2 lines is almost dead. I do like the way it's made, very ergonomically for sms & a lot of other stuff. Very unergonomic for BT. Phone is brilliant. I am a photographer, I should know. Touchpad gets a bit untouchable at times, like when they're a bit more greasy then usual, but I've found that once you get the hang of it it's pretty good. & fast. Task switching is nice, but can be a burden at times. MP3 playback is excellent, with very clear & crisp audio quality. I don't like the placement of the charge/USB/hands-free plug but that's just me perhaps. Best accessory for it: a micro fiber cloth.
