The LG Shine is a descendant of the so admired LG Chocolate. The package of the LG Shine is traditional, but stylish. Details such as a small hidden magnet to keep the box closed, is ecstatic. An elegant phone by a vast display with mirror effect. “Time for a make up check before hitting up that woman/man at the bar?” Take your Shine.
Unhappily the Shine doesn't come as promoted completely in metal. There is a metal border around the slider-screen and the back cover is metal. The keypad and other buttons are metal as well. The rest feels is low-priced plastic. But the phone at rest looks great. Be ready to collect plenty of “ Ooohhs and AAAaahhhsss” as your colleagues and friends see the phone.
As soon as you handle one of the 5 buttons under the screens a new world of brilliance wakes up. The scroll wheel will soon to be your best friend in live, and you'll begin navigating through all the menus with the aid of the 4 other buttons. Sliding open the Shine is a pleasure. One smooth movement and the screen lights up. The keyboard is backlit. Flat metal soft touch buttons become blue.

If you were deaf, this phone would be great for you.
I say this because the speaker on this thing is soo low you might as well be deaf to it when your in a mall.

Buttons are too smooth for my everage size fingers. Despite having a 2gig memory card, the phone only finds a small selection of the music tracks I store there. Good job I have a proper MP3 player.

The scrollwheel thingy takes a lot of getting used to/is too sensitive.

Its camera works ok, but is nothing special considering it is made by Schnelder KREUZNACH - has a long delay in between pressing the take picture and in actual picture being taken which is fairly typical.

The phone is generally OK and is reliable but these things bug me. Battery life seems good but maybe I dont use it that much !
