The Nokia 6288 is a slider cell phone with 3G and EDGE support tri-band GSM. It comes with a 2.2 inch 256k color TFT screen (240 x 320) bright screen, 4.5 MB of internal memory, a miniSD slot, Bluetooth, IrDA, 2 MP camera with flashlight, VGA video-call camera, FM Radio. Its 3G functionality, beside its front VGA camera and PTT can just be used in Europe . The phone come with all its CDs and manuals, a 64 Mb miniSD card, a pop-port stereo handsfree, a USB cable and a power adapter.

The sliding system works incredibly fine; it is truly easy sliding the handset up and down with no much effort. The keypad feels solid and it's extremely easy to type with it. On the right part of the telephone you will locate the miniSD slot, the PTT and the speaker button. On the left side, are the Vol+/Vol- rocker button and the Camera key. At the base of the device you will find the pop-opt port (handsfree, USB) and the power port. On the top of the device is on/off button, IrDA

The 6288 comes with all the essential application you will need: Contacts application with picture sustain, speed dialing, voice dialing, comprehensive Call Log, SMS, MMS, email, WilressVillage IM, Notes, tasks, Calendar, voice recording, Alarms, media player, calculator, stopwatch, countdown timer, an XHTML web browser (with basic java script and CSS support), world clock, a converter and a few games.

The music player cans playback mp3, eAAC+ and AAC, except WMA. The devices have a music application that supports playlists and sorting via diverse ways. All songs are sorted by filename. You can do previous/next and fast forward and modify the equalizer to 7 presets.

However, the phone supports A2DP and so you can utilize a stereo wireless headset. More over, the handsfree that come by the phone is top notch. Good construct class, first-class sound quality, 3 buttons, but most importantly, this is the super earphones!

The FM radio is stereo, sound quality is excellent and reception is satisfactory.
