The Nokia E51 is one of the sleazy project devices as of the Finnish corporation, second to the E61i, which is 0.5mm thinner. The Nokia E51 feels extremely hard in hand, something that a picture cannot say. Cementing the robustness is the stainless steel runs on the complete border of the frontage and battery cover.
It have a slight, firm design, numerous dedicated buttons and shortcut keys, superb tactility, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and Bluetooth stereo A2DP; charitable internal memory(130MB), high performance.
The current phone i'm using is the nokia e51 so as long as i'm going to use it i'll write posts about it,themes, games and other aplications.
Let us start with the price, another major major thing in helping this phone to become a bestseller.
Although it's situated in the bussiness class and launched a few months ago(september 2007) you can subscribe it at around 750 ron or buy it without subscription for around 900 ron but beeing coded to one network. I found mine for 1000ron without subscription and not coded
The desighn is diferent from it's predecessor the e50 wich at it's time was quite inovative and controversial, the e51 is slicker, cleaner with a clasic desighn.
The nokia e51 comes with UMTS (3G), HSDPA (3.5G), WiFi,plus quad-band and dual band this makes it a complete phone.
The phone looks and feels solid, solid keys with no play and easy to use. However the right and left side keys are a bit hard tu push. the 2 inch screen is a bit smaller than i would have wanted, however not that small to be anoying, but the 16 milion colors gives it a plus. Besides the 5 way button it has other 4 buttons with 2 functions each( short push and long push) so 8 functions that you can customize the way you want. One more thing that it has is a backspace button very handy in typing and also in navigating the web. It had T9 in romanian with diacritical signs, very usefull when typing messages or texts. With the help of it's 369 mhz processor the phone easily runs symbian software.
Since i have been using the phone i hadn't noticed any lag. Connecting to the computer is very easy and quick via bluetooth as well as via WLAN. Instead of a bluetooth connection I prefer to connect using the data transfer cable when I use the PC suite because it doesn't ask me every time for acces. The best thing in my opinion is the WLAN internet connection.
It takes a few seconds to find the networks, quickly make you selection and you cand surf the internet is as easy as that.
I can't say much about the authonmy only that I charged it once and after 2 days of using it to the max it still had batery left.
The photos are poorer than those of a 2mp sony eriksson however the photos don't turn out as poor. I'll try to make some aplication to try to improve the quality of the photos

People often comment on the E51's music ability. But I tried out with Creative EP630 earphone with the device interfaced with a 2.5 to 3.5 mm converter. The audio is just soooperb... and would compete with any sony walkman series. Just amazing ... to see...how earphones play an important role! The nokia earphones coming with the package is little inexpensive, so is the quality of music from it
hey, you did this phone a lot of injustice for not including M4a and SWA format audio as playback and ringtones!
also video ringtone is amazing.
phone code can be 4 to 255 digit figure or alphabet! can be locked from another phone should you forget to lock it!
bundled with whole lots os application you will almost not need more.
the fasted S60 ever developed (that i have used)
it's nice!
