There appeared preliminary info on the upcoming mobile phone Samsung SGH-P310. It's an heir of Samsung SGH-P300, a slim calculator-phone with the dimensions of a credit card. Unlike its extravagant predecessor the P310 will have design more customary to mobile phones.

The P310 is the ultimate combination between the E900 and P300 in a business and credit card format. The unique leather case with build-in battery (also known from the P300) is delivered with the P310 which contains a 2.0 Mpixel camera, offline mode, MicroSD memory card slot, 86 MB of internal storage, central 4-way key, two touchpanel keys below the display, new excellent looks, 262.000 TFT display with a resolution of 220 x 176 pixels and Bluetooth with stereo audio profile (A2DP).

The new phone is expected to have a 2-megapixel camera (the P300 has a 1.3-megapixel camera), an expansion slot for microSD cards (the P300 lacks it) and Bluetooth interface with the support of stereo sound (A2DP). The model might be announced very soon, and the release is expected in October.

Samsung will soon introduce the P300 successor, the SGH-P310 calculator phone. The phone design is a big change compare to P300, which do not looks like a calculator at all now. The card size phone is easily slot into your pocket, while the slim size also gives you a 2 megapixel camera.

The P310 is not offcially announced yet, it comes with a 2 megapixel camera, 86MB internal memory, 256k colors TFT display screen with 220 x 176 pixels resolution. Micro SD card slot is there to fulfil your storage space needs. The SGH-P310 bluetooth module support stereo audio profile (A2DP), let you stream music to your bluetooth device wirelessly. We shall expect the official announcement soon.

I think that it looks like a mini calculator but the screen is very sharp as well, better than a lot of the latest phones on the market right now. Otherwise, this is a very smart phone & I would recommend getting it, especially if you want to be a bit different from the crowd.
