Sony Ericsson has announced the K610im handset, its first GSM/UMTS phone to support i-mode. The i-mode service delivers
a whole new experience in connected mobile applications such as iMail, web browsing and iMMS. Viewing multimedia is faster and easier, thanks to Web pages and content specially formulated for i-mode. Lighter pages give faster download speeds and users are given access to a host of i-mode sites and content.

Besides the i-mode, the handset features a 2 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom, capable of video recording, a media player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ formats and support for 1GB M2 Memory Sticks. A 1.9 inch TFT display is present, capable of showing a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels in 260k colors. Other specifications include Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity , Access NetFront Internet browser, full streaming audio and video, support for MFi and Mobile MP4, flight mode.
