Sony Ericsson has announced the new W960 Walkman phone in a torrent of handset announcements from Berlin at present. Packing the Symbian/UIQ smartphone UI combination, the Sony Ericsson W960 is UMTS 2100-GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and the progress and coming of age of the manufacturer's Walkman range. The Sony Ericsson W960 has 8GB of on board memory and a 2.6" QVGA resolution 262k color, touch screen display. Up to 700 albums - approximately 8000 songs - can be stored on the 8GB memory of the W960 and navigated by the new Walkman Touch player, browse media files with the touch of a finger(or stylus). Bluetooth with A2DP stereo headset support (HBH-DS220) is too integrated to permit wireless pleasure of your music listening time of up to 27 hour. When you want more, the new Street-style Portable Handsfree HPM-83 adds urban style to the W960. If you desire to share your music library with friends, the Bluetooth Music Receiver MBR-100 plugs into your home stereo and lets you stream tracks directly from the phone to your stereo's speakers. Sony Ericsson's TrackID feature has also been great in the latest Walkman range, with full information on artists and albums being delivered with the handle of a button. The 2.6” touch-sensitive display is proper for Web browsing. Connect to the Web via the 3G network or a Wi-Fi access point. Visit your favorite's pages, buy and download music online, and latest programs to create the Sony Ericsson W960 truly yours. The W960 Walkman mobile phone featured a 3.2 megapixel camera within its 16mm frame. Auto focus makes your photos sharper, and by way of picture messaging or email you can share them instantly. As through the W910 Walkman handset, you can manage all of your content for the phone using a PC program, Media Manager PRO. What is still more amazing is that all these features are housed in a handset only 16mm think and weighing just 119g.
The Sony Ericsson W960 Walkman handset will be available in Vinyl Black in select markets beginning Q4 2007.
